Le chiese di Lucca
Oggi è stata una bella giornata di sole e ne ho approfittato per fare un giro in bicicletta fotografando le chiese di Lucca. La tradizione dice che fosse la città delle 99 chiese, e anche oggi ce ne sono veramente molte! Dentro le mura ne ho trovate 43, poi ho fatto una selezione delle foto e ne è venuto fuori il collage che vedete. Lo stile predominante è il romanico : ne sono pregevoli esempi le chiese di San Martino, San Michele e San Frediano. Today has been a fine sunny day and I went on a bike tour through the city streets taking pictures of the churches of Lucca, also known in the past as the city with 99 churches! Still today there are many: I could find and photograph 43 inside the city walls and did a patchwork out of a selection of them. The main architectural style is romanesque, of which magnificent examples are the churches of San Martino, San Michele and San Frediano. ---------------------------
