If you attend a course at Lucca Italian School, you may find as one of the afternoon activities a bike or a walking tour along the ancient aqueduct, starting from the railway station and arriving as far as the place called "Parole d'Oro" (Golden words), in the woods on the slopes of Pisani Mountains, where the source of the good water everyone can drink from the public fountains in the city is located. Here is a video interview to a member of the City Council, who tells us about the origins and the history of the aqueduct up to the present time.
